All the men in suits love to have a war. They sit in their offices. Big massive tables for the lot of them. They point, shake their heads and furrow their sweaty little brows. Then they give a big slimy thumbs up to the lads in green. The green boys wear jingly janglers all over their jackets.

They dust off the rockets and polish up the tanks. Organise all their bombs in neat and shiny rows and one by one send them into battle. Then they sit all comfy in their offices. Hands clasped together behind their heads watching the fireballs and the explosions from miles away.

They don’t see the piles of rubble, the buried kids, the tatters of flesh and bone strewn about on the streets. The mass graves. Pools of Blood. The innocent people shredded in the crossfire. Explosions, snipers, beatings, rape, starvation, disease, destruction, desperation and pain. But war is good for business. We make the bombs and we get paid to rebuild. Happy days. Then when it’s all done the men in suits give themselves a pat on the back and carry on with their lives.

Liberator / oppressor. Terrorist / freedom fighter. Winner / Loser. All depends on who you listen to. The real loser is always the innocent civilian.
